Hi! I’m Clarissa!

I created Kind Sun to honor my Sri Lankan and Assyrian roots while celebrating every part of you - your inner light, your special sauce, your edge, however you choose to call it! This is a space to explore what feels good for you, whether its movement, meditation, holistic nourishing habits, I am here to support you and I am so excited you're here.

My fitness journey started back in 2011 when I was a cheerleader in high school. I loved the energy and enthusiasm of dance and cheer, that later led me to find yoga in 2014 as a freshman in college where I fell in love with mindful movement and meditation. Once I really started feeling the benefits of integrating these ancient practices into my life, how they had a direct effect on how I spoke to myself, how I treated my body and how my entire relationship with myself shifted, my outer world started to shift too - I live my entire life by these words: this version of you takes you to the next. Welcoming the version of you that is here right now, reading this.

At its core, Kind Sun is about honoring all that you areβ€”your roots, your evolution, and the light that’s uniquely yours. My intention is to create a space where movement, mindfulness, and holistic well-being come together in a way that feels true to you.

Fun Fact: my last name β€” Karunaratne is Sanskrit (the language of yoga!) and when translated to English means Kind - Sun.
